BMC Gel Polish Sands of Aruba Collection

Hello Loves!  I have the BMC Gel Polish Sands of Aruba collection to show you today.  This collection consists of 6 bright shades - 5 creams and one glitter packed jelly that are perfect for summer.  With all the rain we've had lately in GA, I'm digging the bright, almost neon colors.  However, they really should have named this one "The Collection Michelle Hates to Love."  The colors are gorgeous, but they did not agree with my camera.  In order to get them right, I had to shoot dark in RAW format.  What does that mean?  Not much really.  It just means that the pictures are darker than normal and show every single crevice and flaw in my hands.  lol  Want to see them?  Of course you do.  Why else would you be reading?

Shall we start with my nemesis?  Boca Catalina is that shade that I fight with every single time I run across it.  Teal green.  But she is absolutely beautiful and offers full coverage in two coats.  I had to shoot this one outside of my light box with a different camera to get the polish color right, so my skin tone is all wrong.  But hey, the polish is pretty danged close.  It is a little brighter in person.

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention this is the last set of swatches I did before removing my extensions.  :)

The next color in the collection is a really stunning pinkish coral called Electric Flamingo.  She also offers full coverage in two coats.  This one might be my personal favorite.  I adore bright coral shades.

Sunset Walk is similar to Electric Flamingo, but pink instead of coral.  Another perfect two coater!

Voodoo Lounge is a stunning two coat purple cream.  I struggled with this one a little from the photography standpoint.  It is a little brighter (or crisper?) than it appears here.  It also is a little more red toned than it appears on my screen, but it might look right on your screen.  It looks pretty much dead on perfect on my phone.

Fringing Waters is my second favorite of the collection.  Hello beautiful bright blue!  And yes, she's another two coater.

Finally, Blistering Sun is the odd ball of the collection.  This is a bright yellow jelly base that is loaded with yellow shimmer and iridescent glitter.  This is also the only polish in the collection that needed three coats to be mostly opaque for me, but that's not uncommon with jelly bases.

What do you think?  I personally think Bundle Monster is knocking it out of the park in terms of colors in their recent collections.  I'm digging the brights for summer and just might have to break them out before then just to chase away these grey, rainy days we've been having here.

If this collection interests you, you can pick it up on Bundle Monster's Website here or on Amazon here.  (Note:  The Amazon Listing pulls up Sunset Walk, but the other colors are available as options under the same listing.)

Stay tuned for swatches of the two new thermal collections!

~Michelle

  2. Thanks for reviewing these! Michelle, how is the removal on their creams? I had some trouble with the glittery thermals, so I am a little hesitant but keep wondering about trying regular colors.

    1. The creams are a bit easier to remove. They aren't as thick and glitter always makes removal longer.

  3. Have you tried the bmc gel top and base coats?
