Akzentz Luxio Fall/Winter 2015 Collection

Hello Loves!  I have the Akzentz Fall/Winter Luxio Collection to show you today.  But first, a few updates.  I'm going to be a little sporadic with my posting for the next week or so.  I usually try to stick to a M-W-F schedule, but I have tons going on right now and can't always find time to edit and write.  But stick with me!  I promise I'll get back on schedule soon.  Oh, and this finally came yesterday.
Yep, it's official!  All of the paperwork is done and I am a licensed Nail Technician in the State of Georgia.  Whoo Hoo!  So now I'm working on finding a "home salon", which is why I won't be on schedule for a little while.  :)

Ok, ok...enough about that.  As you know, I'm a HUGE fan of Akzentz Products.  The Luxio line is one of my absolute favorite gel polishes out there.  Application is just dreamy, wear is fabulous, and removal is a breeze.  To be completely honest, as I'm looking into lines for my professional life, Akzentz is high on my list.  If I had an unlimited budget, there would be no contest.  Let's take a look at the Akzentz Luxio Fall/Winter 2015 Collection shall we?  This collection consists of 6 beautiful shades to end the year.  Three are rich creams and the other three are fabulous glitters.  Let's take a look at the creams first.

First up is a sweet lavender cream called Celebrate.  I adore this color and have noticed variations of it popping up in several fall collections this year.  Application was dreamy with perfect coverage in two coats.

Rebel is berry mauve toned cream.  Believe it or not, Rebel offers perfect coverage in just one coat!  I swatched two for consistency, but the second coat was completely pointless.

Fortune is a medium forest green cream.  With careful application, it can easily be a one coater as well.  Since I'm not always careful when I swatch, I needed two for full coverage.  This one is perfect for Christmas!

Champagne is a champagne gold frost that offers opaque coverage in two coats.  I almost want to call this one a glitter instead of a frost.  The particles are wee little things that really pop in the right light.

Mirage is my newest love.  This purple toned frost(?) is similar to Champagne in that it has wee little glittery pieces that create the color.  It offers opaque coverage in two coats, but there's a nice surprise to this polish that I had a very hard time capturing!  Scattered throughout the metallic purple base are little red shimmers that light up and give her a gorgeous effect.

You can see the red shimmers a little on the pinkie and ring finger nails in the photo above, but I grabbed a super blurred shot to show them better.  Ah, the down side of having a great camera...it's almost impossible to get it to soft focus on these polishes with little surprises.

Finally, Garnet is a glittery red that is also opaque in two coats.  I have a ton of glittery reds in my collection (ok, maybe not a ton, but easily a dozen or more from different brands), and this one is by far the prettiest!  The depth is amazing and the coverage is fantastic.  It does require a very good shake to get the wee little glitters suspended in the base, but the result is totally worth it.  So much sparkling bling!  Yep, another Christmas favorite.

Of course, I had to do a little nail art.  I'm trying to push myself outside of my comfort zone, so despite my strong urge to do flowers, I came up with this abstract design.  It feels a little like...I don't know...the jungle?  Whatever it is, it is kind of fun and uses all of the colors in the Fall/Winter Collection except for Garnet.  It also uses Gel Play Black for the ruffian style border.  (Note:  Celebrate looks a little blue in these art pictures.  It is actually lavender but my camera couldn't capture all of the colors together accurately)

Since there's a lot going on in this mani, I decided to break it down into a step by step on a swatch stick.  The base is Mirage.  I then added some slightly rounded zig zags with Rebel.  Then curvy lines with Fortune.  I followed those up with random slashes with Celebration and then added dots and highlights with Champagne.  Finally, I framed the nail Ruffian style with Gel Play Black.  The colors are accurate in this step-by-step collage.

What do you think?  I know it's not my usual style, but I kind of like it.  It will work for a few days anyway.  ;)

So there you have it:  The Akzentz Luxio Fall/Winter 2015 Collection.  These lush creams and sparkling glitters are available via your local Akzentz distributor.  If you aren't familiar with your regional distributor, you can look it up on the Akzentz website here.  :)

  1. Lovely! I think they are perfect for Christmas. The colors used are best themed for it. Great job!

  2. Love Celebrate! Can mere mortals purchase this brand or is this only for professionals? If only for professionals, can you suggest another brand and color that is similar to this?

    Thanks!

  3. Love the colors! You need to become a distributor because I cannot find any other way to get them. I would love to have Rebel in my stash.
