Hello Loves! Spring is in the air...Easter is right around the corner...and I'm just not feeling it. I don't know why, but I always seem to be drawn to colors that are opposite of the season. I suspect my current shorties might have something to do with my need for darker colors right now...'cause you know those dark shades look fab on shorter nails! So when Madam Glam sent me these sultry, sexy darks to review, I was on cloud nine. :) Lets start with the warms and make our way to the cool tones, shall we?
I'm not sure if I've mentioned it before, but Madam Glam colors come with numbers on the bottles instead of color names. As soon as I popped the top on this stunning red cream, I thought to myself "that's a brick red if I've ever seen one!" Turns out I was right. This is two coats of Brick (#405). It looks a little uneven in the photos, which really baffles me. It looked completely smooth and dreamy in person, but I guess the camera often sees what the eye does not. This is two coats.
Deep Burgundy (#227) is very close in color to Brick but is a touch lighter with subtle brown tones. Application is smooth and coverage is great in two coats.
How do you like your greens? If you're into greens so deep they almost look black, Deep Emerald (#161) is your kind of color. At first glance, I thought it WAS black! I might be a tiny bit in love with this color. Oh, and it's opaque in two thin coats.
Navy Blue (#191) is a gorgeous medium navy blue with a subtle shimmer. Also a two coater. Yep, she's blue...but surprisingly she's not my favorite in this set of swatches. I don't know, maybe I'm sick. lol
Nightime Mauve (#180) is a medium/dark, dusty purple. Yes, she's another perfect 2 coat cream.
Plum Addict (#94) is an incredible shade of purple. This rich purple cream is my absolute favorite of this set of colors. I mean, look at her! Need I say more? Oh yeah, two coats.
Finally, if you prefer your purples blackened, check out this super deep, dark purple called Sexy Purple (#334). You guessed it...another two coater.
I know I keep raving about Madam Glam Gel Polish, but I really can't help myself. I mean, look at these darks! Opacity in two coats for nearly black colors? That's almost unheard of! I can't wait to get my hands on the new black that was released recently. :)
Yes, I know there is a little bit of sticker shock with these gel polishes, but they are so worth it. Either way, keep an eye on the specials. Madam Glam runs some pretty awesome deals. If there isn't an amazing special going on, you can always use discount code YGEL30OFF for 30% off. ;) So head over to Madam Glam's website to see their current offerings. Oh...and those new colors on their site that don't have swatches yet...I'll have those for you soon too.

:). I have a few on the way soon. I caught a half off sale in my email, and that really helped! I'm excited to try them.
ReplyDeleteWhich brand top coat do you use? Your nails look awesome.
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean about these polishes. I wore Deep Sea Dream for my next mani after I got it, and went into raptures the entire time I wore it. As soon as I took it off, I put on Honeydew. They are pretty amazing. Next up, Vintage Blue. :) I can't wait to see more swatches of them.
ReplyDeleteI am loving Madam Glam. I am wearing Dream Diamond at this very moment. I already own 7 colors and am waiting for 2 others to become available again on the website. They are beautiful to apply and wear and the color on the top of the cap is brilliant so you can see what color each bottle is as you look down into your nail polish drawer.
ReplyDeleteI love these polishes, I want so many more after seeing your swatches. I can't wait until I see your other swatches. I think you & chickettes should swatch the entire line, they should give the rest of them to you guys for free because you have brought in business for them because I am really picky. I love your post they are awesome!!!
