Madam Glam Gel Polish Swatches and Nail Art

Hello Loves! Where has this week gone? I swear, I woke up Tuesday morning, blinked, and it's Friday! Sheesh, I even missed a post this week. You know, because falling farther behind is just great, right? Oh well. It happens. We've been working on prepping for State Board at school this week, so I guess I just got sucked in and lost track of time. But I digress.

I have a little bit of abstract nail art and some more Madam Glam Gel Polish swatches for you today. Let's start with the art and work our way to the swatches. I'm not really sure what I was thinking with this one. I was going for wavy or curvy but I think I ended up with seaweed.  lol  I still really like how it turned out.  I just wish I could have captured the vibrancy of the colors a little better.  They're so freaking pretty!  Oh, and in case you couldn't guess from the title, I used all Madam Glam Gel Polishes in this mani.  ;)

The base is a beautiful, bright blue called Aqua Blue (#169).  This perfect cream is opaque in two easy coats.  I adore this color.  It makes my heart smile.

I then added random curvy lines with one of my absolute favorite shades.  Yep, that shade I hate to love...a teal green.

This particular teal green is Madam Glam Sky is the Limit (#010).  Y'all know by now that my camera absolutely hates this shade of green.  I can't capture the vibrancy to save my life.  So you'll have to use your imagination a bit.  I promise, she's stunning.  Oh, and yes, she's two coats of perfection.

Of course, it needed a little bit of something extra.  So I added a few thin, freehand lines with Madam Glam Perfect Black (#002).  They aren't my best lines, but this black is amazing!

When Madam Glam named this black "Perfect Black", they nailed it.  Seriously, this is an amazing one coat black.  Yes, you read that right.  One coat!  Perfectly opaque in just one coat (two if you have a heavy hand toward the cuticle like I do most of the time, but it was easy enough to correct for me and still keep it at one coat).  This is my new favorite black base for nail art!  I should probably note that I'm working over acrylic in these photos, thus the thicker look.

So, what do you think?  Abstract art?  Or seaweed?  lol

I have a few more Madam Glam swatches to show you that didn't make it into the nail art piece but are just as amazing as those I've shown you above.  Let's take a look at Perfect White (#001).  This is, quite possibly, the most perfect white of all the whites in my collection.  It wasn't a one coater for me like perfect black, but two coats for a white is perfectly ok with me!  The coverage and opacity is amazing, and the white is very crisp and clean.  The photos are a little darker to keep from blowing out the white polish.

The next shade I want to show you is Cashmere Grey (#106) is a soft, slightly blue toned grey cream.  Yep, you guessed it...another perfect two coater.  Madma Glam is killing it with these creams!

How about a nude?  Love Me Nude (#094) is a classic nude cream.  I have a really hard time describing nudes, but I would say this one leans a little tan with beige.  Or maybe peach.  I don't know...I should probably just let the picture do the talking.  lol  It's a gorgeous shade and is opaque in two coats.

The final color I have to show you is one that made me squeal when I saw it.  I'm not kidding, people, Madam Glam is clearly a fly on the wall in my mani dreams.  I've been looking for this polish for years!  It is not currently listed on the Madam Glam site, so I've emailed my contact to ask if it is still available.  I really hope it is!  I don't even know the name...only the number.  So, without further ado, this stunning, two coat, fully opaque, shimmery white is #243.  It looks a tad silver in the photos, but it is a pure white.  It only looks silver because I had to shoot darker to keep my camera from blowing it out and losing the definition in the shimmer.

UPDATE:  It is still avaliable!

There you have it - my seaweed mani and more Madam Glam swatches!  What do you think?  Do any of these colors scream your name?  If you're looking for great black and white gel polishes, you need these!  And that shimmery white...be still my heart!  I'll update as soon as I know if it is still available.  Until then, drool with me.  ;)  These shades and many others are available from www.MadamGlam.com

  1. If the shimmery white is no longer available I recommend using Pearl Ex pigment powders available at Michael's... micropearl (#650) and macro perle (#652) applied over a white base is AMAZING!!

  2. I want to love Madam Glam, but I didn't get the wear I was hoping. It only lasted 2 weeks on my 2 least-used nails. :( I could have returned the rest if my toddler hadn't touched them all. *sigh.*

    1. Bummer it doesn't work for you. I wish all products were one size fits all. There are several brands that others love that I can't wear either. :(

  3. I'm having trouble with with the cure for Madam Glam. I've been using the Gelish 5-45 and not getting a complete cure. Do you use the Madam Am LED exclusively with their products?

    1. I use my Harmony 18G. I'll try my other lamps today and see if I have issues.

    2. I use the Gelish 5-45 and have no issues, if its not curing all brands as well try checking the power adapter/plug, I was sent the wrong one originally, the wattage was too low for the lamp and it wouldn't cure properly, otherwise are your layers maybe a tad too thick? I absolutely LOVE the Madam Glam polishes, I am now buying this brand rather than Gelish, thanks for doing reviews on this brand!!!
