Double Gradient Stamping with MdU and Daisy Duo

Hello Loves!  I haven't shown you a stamped manicure in a while, but I think I can make up for that in one manicure today.  ;)

Mundo de Unas has reopened international shipping, and you know for me that's a reason to celebrate!  I so love my MdU stamping polishes.  I couldn't decide on one color to stamp with today, so I used six in this double stamped gradient manicure.

I started with a base of Daisy Duo Muted Berry.  When I received this one as a press sample from Esther's Nail Center, I knew it would be the perfect base for this mani.  Wanna see a swatch?  I thought you might.  Muted Berry is a gorgeous dark purple cream.  Definitely a perfect fall color.  Application was quite smooth and I found this gel polish to self level well.  As a darker color, I did find it needs to cure a little longer than the lighter colors, but that's common with darks.  As usual, I have swatched three coats below.

I then created a gradient stamp with the rough circles image from Pueen 47 from the Love Elements Set and Mundo de Unas 36 Forest, 54 Iris and 45 Metallic Violet.  This is the base stamping.  The second gradient is Mundo de Unas 46 Mustard, 53 Geranium, and 51 Tulip using a portion of the image from Pueen 59 from the Buffet Set.  I didn't think to snap a photo of just the bottom layer of stamping, but I did snag a few shots of the images still on the stamper.

I am completely in love with how this mani turned out.  I have wanted to try this stamping combination for a while now - ever since I saw a similar manicure created by stamping master Fab Ur Nails.  If you aren't following Fab Ur Nails on instagram, you should give her a follow now!  Her stamping is amazing.  :)

What do you think?  Is this style of stamping something you would wear?

  2. Fabulous! I've shamelessly copied your blue chevron gradient stamping.

Is Muted Berry close to IBD Perfect Paisley? If so, did you have a preference?

    1. Perfectly Paisley is a bit darker and vampier. I love them both. lol

    2. Good to hear. I haven't tried any Daisy polishes yet, so now's as good a time as any. :)

  3. Loving it. I never think of combining stamps--so many possibilities! By the way, I have been looking at the Mundo de Unas polishes, and I keep thinking how great it would be to have more info on them. I keep wondering . . . Which are metallic and which are not? Are colors only listed when they are in stock? Are the mini colors (like mustard) the same shade as the larger ones of the same name? Aaaaahhh . . . :) Anyhow, I would love to see a post with stamps of the colors you have and hear about your experience.

    1. It is hard to tell which are metallic from the pictures on her website, but she has some great swatches on her facebook page that are very helpful. The mini colors are the same as the larger sizes with the same name. And yes, they are only listed when they are in stock. When she sells out, she takes down the listing. Great idea for a post! I have 39 of her polishes in my stamping arsenal. I'll work on swatching them :)
